Elly Perez-Selsky

I am a 22 year old independent young adult living in Cromer. However, my time here has been short and i had spent 9 years growing up in Qatar where i was immersed in different cultures and traditions from around the world,  allowing me to learn and understand different ways of life from a young age.

Since moving to Norfolk, I love the history and sites around the area and to be able to work directly alongside events would be a huge achievement fulfilling my passions and natural drive in the arts. From photographing my travels around the world to playing with a band on stage and currently being a part time Dj, i have always been incredibly enhanced by events and creativity. This is something I want to bring into my work life, and I feel i could offer great ideas and positivity to the work place as well as work great with a team.

My personal qualities would include being always dedicated to my work, making sure i keep up with good time management skills and i always try to make a positive impact on those i encounter.

I am a 22 year old working as a team leader and events organiser in a brand new and very popular bistro called the Glaven located in North Norfolk, and looking for a job located around Norwich area to get into the events/managing within the arts department whilst i complete my online diploma in events management with the Uk’s no.1 leading online event course company, the Event Crowd. i have always had a strong passion for music, managing events, playing various instruments growing up and now being a DJ in my free time and just started having the amazing opportunities to play at different events around norwich, and hoping to play for festivals next summer. As i am currently located in the seaside town of Cromer, trying to find work in events and arts specifically has been a challenge, which has lead me to work in hotels managing the events we host at least once a month, as well as managing the front desk, front of house and guests we accommodate for. Recently, i have moved onto working as a team leader in popular bistro and the host of various events. 11 years ago had moved to Qatar (middle east) 2007 and lived there for 9 years, attending an international school with students from many different countries and with many different cultures and backgrounds, this gave me so many opportunities growing up to be understanding of everyone around me and understand professionalism from a young age. I work well with a team and individually, easy going and communicate well with customers and keeping them satisfied as well as keeping the environment managed appropriately.

I had achieved grade 4 and higher for all of my GCSEs before attending Paston College where i had studied Photography , Film Studies and History passing all three. i thoroughly enjoyed my education, and now also have the pleasure in enjoying an online diploma course in Events Management hosted by The Event Crowd which i shall complete by February 2024.
