- Provide front line Employee Relations Advice to Managers and Employees on: Grievances (both informal and formal, guiding them on risks for those specific cases), Absence Management (Both short and long term absence, escalating to insurance claims where necessary as well as ensuring the Employees pay is correct), Family Friendly policies (from flexible working to family care days etc.) and Disciplinary cases.
- I manage cases in an empathetic and timely manner, regularly carrying a case load of around 25-30 Employee Relations cases per week.
- I coach Line Managers on their specific cases and highlight areas of risk.
- I regularly refer Employees to Occupational Health and use the reports to support on their specific cases and also for process improvement in the Business.
- Involvement in HR Projects with the purpose of continuous improvement of the processes and policies within the HR Department. Most recently Immigration, where my role was to review our current Immigration processes and create local working instructions to ensure all members of the HR Shared Services team could follow these to complete these processes. This allowed knowledge to be shared throughout the department and ensured we are meeting all legal requirements.
- Assisting with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests regarding HR policies and processes.
- Maintaining electronic employee records.
- Supporting employee payroll questions and facilitating the resolution of payroll errors.
- Assists with performance management procedures.
- Oversees the completion of employee benefits.
