Emily Brent

As a recent Mathematics graduate, I possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving. My university career has predominantly equipped me with foundations in applied mathematics, including financial mathematics, wave and solar theory, and mathematical biology. I gained proficiency in several programming languages, and in particular used MATLAB to complete my dissertation. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have over a decade of experience in basketball, including roles in table officiating, coaching, and team captaincy. My basketball career includes representing Surrey, South-East England, and my university's 1st team, as well as attending international camps, all experiences which have developed my teamwork, communication and leadership skills.

I have worked in hospitality roles such as a waitress at Royal Ascot Racecourse and a receptionist at The Scores Hotel in St Andrews. I also have experience as a basketball coach and have worked for Nike, coaching at their EuroSports Camps.

I have recently completed my BSc Mathematics degree at the University of St Andrews, achieving Upper Second Class Honours with a First Class Grade in my dissertation.
