About Emma Jagessur:
I am a passionate and diligent psychology graduate, holding both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Developmental Science. My academic journey has further reinforced my commitment to understanding the intricacies of the human mind and the factors that influence mental health across different developmental stages. My studies have enhanced my ability to critically analyse, write literature reviews, conduct research, as well as consolidating my knowledge of core psychological concepts which can be applied to mental health care.
Beyond my academic journey, I have first-hand experience in the mental health field, specifically within child and adolescent settings. Working as a Healthcare Assistant with the NHS, I have been deeply involved in providing individualised care to young patients, drawing on my ability to build therapeutic relationships and employ crisis management techniques. Furthermore, my voluntary roles and work experiences have allowed me to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, observe various therapeutic modalities, and support vulnerable populations. As an aspiring clinical psychologist, I am eager to seek opportunities that challenge me, fostering my professional growth, and enable me to make meaningful contributions to the mental wellbeing of individuals, in addition to preparing me for the doctorate.

Work Experience at the St Aubyn Centre
June 2022

This was valuable in demonstrating the different roles involved in patient care and how important each individual is in contributing to the patient's care.
- Accompanied the clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, and nurse in charge of patient reviews
