Then Hi! I’m Emma Russell, and here’s a little bit about me. 

I am keen to break into the proofreading industry with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing and recently completed the Knowadays Proofreading course. Highly proficient in using Microsoft Suite and Google Docs. Ability to proofread documents to a professional standard, whether it’s spotting spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes. I love a challenge! and the varied aspects of proofreading different styles of documents. 

One who works well autonomously, with strong timekeeping and organisational skills. Reliable, disciplined and flexible.

My experience in a childcare setting has honed my proofreading skills through the meticulous review of important documents and communication materials, emphasizing the importance of precision. Additionally, my university degree has further refined my attention to detail, grammar, and syntax, as I've consistently produced academic papers and collaborated on projects, requiring me to maintain clarity and adherence to style guidelines. These combined experiences have equipped me with the abilities to scrutinize written content, ensuring it is error-free, polished, and coherent, making me a valuable asset for proofreading across various professional contexts.

Education

How to use Microsoft Word and Google Docs to professionally proofread documents. I can spot common spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes. I possess a detailed comprehension of different aspects of proofreading academic, creative writing and business documents and knowledge of how to change and proofread document formatting. Suggest minor edits to a document for reading fluidity.
