About Emma Ward:
I’m an enthusiastic designer with 13 years’ experience specialising in digital & print campaigns. I’m confident in my key skills, which include concepting, briefing, delegation and acting as brand guardian. I am comfortable working self-sufficiently, with minimal guidance where necessary.
Experience
FEB 2019 – PRESENT · BAMBINO MIO · GRAPHIC DESIGNER
I lead a variety of high-value digital & print campaigns from concept creation, through to final delivery and enjoy every stage of the process. I’m particularly confident within the ideation phase and enjoy working with other team members to help them reach their full potential whilst also ensuring the creative vision is implemented, to a high quality, across the campaign.
I have a key focus on packaging design, ensuring existing artwork is updated accordingly in-line with current branding and also create brand new artwork when required.
My role has enabled me to greatly expand my skills across digital design, including email (designing and also building using Klaviyo), website, social & animation assets, and I am constantly looking for ways to improve my technical and design skills.
I am confident liaising with internal & external stakeholders, as well as national & international suppliers to ensure all assets we create meet with strict brand guidelines and high quality expectations on a frequent basis.
AUG 2018 – FEB 2019 · UK GREETINGS · FREELANCE DESIGNER
I planned and developed the Deco brand, as well as art-working final designs.
NOV 2011 - JULY 2018 · WATERMARK PUBLISHING · DESIGNER
I designed, artworked and planned greeting cards, calendars, diaries and 3D products, working in the reprographics department when needed. My responsibilities enabled me to broaden my skill set and knowledge of various technical processes whilst gaining confidence in my abilities.
I oversaw designs from concept stage through to the final technical stage. I frequently worked with detailed artwork that required extensive Photoshop image manipulation.
I planned and managed the exclusive Deco brand, analysing sales, emerging trends and gaps in the market, to create the content for each module and season. I briefed illustrators and designers, managing them and working with them throughout the process, personally ensuring each design met with strict brand guidelines and exceeded the quality the Deco consumer expects. Deco was launched in 2007 and I constantly looked for new ways to re-invent the brand. I introduced new products
including brooches and hair combs as well as creating a brand guidelines pack and presenting it to the creative team.
MAY 2010 - NOV 2011 · IGLOO BOOKS · JUNIOR DESIGNER
I designed children’s books, working alongside in-house editors and briefing external illustrators. I worked on numerous projects concurrently and employed excellent organisational and time management skills to complete my jobs to a high standard.
Other responsibilities included creating print-ready files and sending them to printers.
