After completing my Personal trainer course (specializing in exercise physiology and strength and conditioning) in 2018, I started expanding my scope of practice and gaining more hands-on knowledge at various wellness organizations. From working at Physio Centre’s of Africa Ltd, I feel my manual skills and confidence developed exceptionally due to the level of sportsmen I was working with. I learnt to work effectively with Physiotherapists. I feel I constantly utilise my hands on experience gained while working with student athletes in Covenant University. My background allows me to advise my clients on a range of physiological and biomedical issues above and beyond that of general sport massage. I can confidently give rehab exercises and advise on general to specific strength training.

• Built a strong client base and worked closely with the physio’s when treating mutual clients
• Integrated and managed corrective exercise programs for clients with issues (sciatica, tendonitis, and postural problems), referred from the physio’s or come independently from athletes (rugby players, runners, swimmers, basketballers, and soccer players) to the public.
• Designed personalized-periodized exercise programs and successfully implemented them
• Documented patient progress and make observations on range of mobility to offer recommendations for improvements
• Demonstrated correct usage of equipment and exercise routines as part of patient instruction
• Successfully carried out mobile private sport massage to clients on request at their houses.

I have been a member of the American Council on Exercise for almost 2 years and their vast range of free courses and webinars have helped me improve my skills and knowledge in promoting activities and coping methods in supporting clients in their wellness journeys that transform and fuel healthy minds and bodies.
