About Erin McGuire:
A former 6th year student that is currently doing anSVQ Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration at SVQF level 6, I am studying this along with a full time job position in the same work place Mitchells Roberton Solicitors and Estate Agents. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, which I feel will hold me in good stead for the future. I enjoy going for long walks, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends. I also have a keen interest in wanting to travel and the potential of working abroad, Aswell as interests in areas such as Crime and the law. I am a hard-working individual who is driven to peruse future employment in an area of work that I feel so strongly about; able and confident to work on my own and as part of a team.

• Doing general administration tasks through out the firm, Filing, storing, retrieving, archiving, uploading and updating the safes and the firm system that we use.
• Communicating with clients by being on the reception, answering phone calls and emails to clients passing them on to the partners and fee earners in the firm.
• Opening, stamping and scanning incoming mail everyday to different employees.
• Taking the banking and recorded mail to the bank and post office every day.
• Dealing with the outgoing mail from the firm, franking the envelops and getting it to the post box every night.
• Aswell as learning on the job, I will also get the modern apprenticeship qualification at the send of my course work that I am also doing while working.
• Responsibility of archiving and putting external and internal client’s folders away to storage.
• Covering the reception when our receptionist isn’t on and at lunch times. Answering incoming calls, passing them through to whoever it may be, emailing people to ask them to call whoever called and they were too busy, making teas and coffees for clients when they come in for a meeting, booking out the board rooms for meetings making sure whoever has requested one is put in the diary and also greeting clients when they come in for meetings or to drop things off.
• Learning new things about different departments each day, and going by our GBPR policy whilst learning and getting to know different aspects of the firm’s departments and what they each do.
