General Affairs Specialist - HR & GA

-Managing the company's insurance policies such as private medical insurance, travel insurance, fleet insurance and life insurance, ensuring the company meets all legal requirements

-Managing company vehicle fleet according to internal policy with timely renewal of vehicles

-Implementing employee welfare ideas into the business including free accessible mental health meetings for all staff including non-contracted or agency employees 

-Taking on the responsibility of UK Branch Compliance Officer, ensuring that all employees are aware and abiding by current GDPR regulations 

-Writing and frequently amending company policies based on up to date legal requirements as well as company  headquarters’ guidance

-Training Management for all employees in both the office and warehouse, conducting all mandatory training sessions periodically throughout the year to ensure all employees have the highest level of training, as well as additional tailored training courses to suit individuals roles within the business

-Managing contracts and service agreements for suppliers, and monitoring contract renewals to ensure suppliers are the best quality and price available

-Budget management, assisting the budget controller in annual costs planning with applications such as SAP

-Managing the invoices for the HR department on SAP, and processing invoices to the finance department 

-Reporting all Expat expenses to Head Quarters and tracking and analysing any variable expenses

-Arranging all travel requirements for all employees within the business 

-Arranging special events and occasions, in cooperation with the site President and the HR manager. Liaising with the  health and safety officer to ensure all necessary requirements are met.

-Reporting excess usage from employees company mobiles to assist in budget management 

-Creating notice boards around the building to encourage staff to give business feedback and ideas on changes they would like to see

-Front of house duties - Meeting and greeting clients, answering a busy switchboard and coordinating meeting rooms. 

-Speaking to clients on the phone throughout the day and also face to face when they visit Chambers or when attending networking events. 

-Diary management - Organising with internal barristers and clients in regards to room hire at Quadrant Chambers for arbitrations, mediations, and associated conference facilities. 

-I manage the smooth transition of members’ papers to and from court and to and from different companies or private addresses by organising couriers on a day-to-day basis. 

-Mini Pupillage - Assist the mini pupillage committee in all aspects of the application process including correspondence with the applicants as the first point of contact. 

-Travel Booking of all travel requirements. 

-Pupillage - Dealing with all applications, organising their marking, liaison with applicants and arranging interviews. 

-Coordination of global video conferences with clients and partners; extensive knowledge of the Polycom system. 

-Assisting the office manager with ad hoc daily tasks and all delegated assignments to be dealt with independently. 

-Assist marketing to promote a professional and reputable image for Chambers whilst working to maintain stringent budgets and deadlines. 

-Monitoring and updating of the professional registration details whilst abiding by confidentiality regulations at all times. 


 

Part-time Experience 

•ITN Productions (Runner) - Filming “EasyJet: Inside the Cockpit” for ITV. Distributing equipment and generally helping DOPs, Producers and other runners. 


 

•Zero2Sixty Productions (Shooting Assistant Producer) - Filmed and live streamed World Championship Boxing events, broadcast on JD Sports’ social media channels. Researched and interviewed boxing promoter Eddie Hearn and all headline fighters.
