Chief Transformation Officer - Bauer Media Group   December 2022 - November 2024

• Established Transformation Office to identify, track and prioritise projects transformation projects (annual investment ~Euro50 million/year) across the Bauer Media Group introducing standardised project roles, documentation, reporting and benefits tracking for all inflight and new projects
• Budget responsibility for ~Euro 10 million/year invested in transformation programs and support through consultancies and individual consultants
• Reduced/rationalised the transformation project portfolio from 128 to 33 over a two year period
• Designed and led a project to create a financial model allowing BMG to interrogate its costs across the business (for the first time) and to identify savings and opportunities to right size the organisation against key benchmarks. Project identified ~Euro 170m in savings opportunities and recommended projects to deliver the savings
• Led the programme to identify and introduce KPIs across the organisation to improve management information and introduce KPIs to the ELT for the first time
• Oversaw the strategy team and responsible for the relaunch of the team and its services to create demand and improve integration with key business leaders
• Reported to the CEO and a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) – the highest management team in the Group
• Designed and established the ELT and oversaw the Chief of Staff who is responsible for the content and operations for all ELT meetings, Group planning meetings, and ELT offsite

• Embedded in the HR team, I led and supported transformation initiatives across Technology, Finance, Global Property, Internal Communications and HR working closely with the leaders of these areas to identify optimal approaches for change and to deliver desired outcomes.

Literary Agent - The Sagalyn Agency  June 1995 - December 1999

The Sagalyn Agency is based outside of Washington, D.C. and represents journalists, academics, thinkers, business writers, and novelists working primarily with the large New York houses, focusing on upmarket nonfiction, business books, and commercial fiction.

I was an agent responsible for developing a client list, working with established clients, and selling the film and TV rights for agency projects.

Legal Policy Analyst - Corporation for National and Community Service April 1994 - June 1995

The Corporation for National and Community Service is a federal agency that engages more than five million Americans in service through Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America. It provides opportunities for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to address critical community needs and further their education.

It was established by Pres. Clinton to encourage and reward community service by providing a stipend for further education in return for a year of community service.
