I have had a key role in editing videos for a start-up company called project VAE specializing in VR Tourism. Their mission is to use virtual reality technology to take people within the care system on virtual experiences to help improve mental health & wellbeing. I edit 360 degree raw footage into short, engaging tour trailers for a range of destinations of the marketing of this company. 

I also had a commission as a freelancer to produce a dozen of informative videos for HMB Accountancy. I had to survey the office to scout best locations, solve issues with lighting, try to coach the presenters and use my own equipment to capture the footage.

I have recently created a new business/portfolio just for music videos. This area of work is my favourite to create as my creativity is unrestricted and I can experiment with new styles and skills which further expands my experience in video editing. I hope to start working with more artists to work on bigger projects 

I studied at York St Johns University and received 2.1 in media production. During my time here I learnt many new skills when its comes to creating content such as lighting and framing. However I also expanded my knowledge outside of production as well when it came to marketing the content and conducting research into the target audience. I discovered and honed many skills while studying here which has helped me create more advanced content and has helped me reach new levels of experience. 

When beginning at project vae I had no previous experience creating any kind of 360 content. However I was taught through how to approach each task and was offered guidance to complete post production of the VR trailer videos. After practice and improvements to video layouts I was able to create many of these videos independently.

 I have recently been learning to create 360 meditation videos as well. I conducted my own research into meditation content where I practiced and researched; audio editing to create a realistic but relaxing audio to match the visuals, Script writing by studying key words and phrazes that are common across this genre. I also researched breathing techniques that prove to be effective in relaxing and centering a person.

I spend a fair amount of my time in premiere pro learning new effects, transitions and styles. When creating music videos I often visualize a scene in my head then conduct research through online video courses explaining how to create certain effect that can help create this vision. After some research, practice and creativity I believe I have the ability to create new and engaging techniques that will elevate the videos I edit.
