About FAYEZA SADAT:
I have over 11 years’ experience, working at management level within the civil service and diplomatic services at the embassy of Afghanistan in Malaysia and educated to Master’s degree level in Human Rights, verified by ENIC at Level 7. I therefore have a wealth of expertise within Human Rights, Diplomatic Communications, International Relations with the international organizations Governance and peace building. In my previous employment while working alongside with NATO, I received a certificate of appreciation for my professionalism, contribution and outstanding diplomatic services.
I am keen to secure employment and therefore, whilst waiting for my right to work visa, I spent my time advocating and volunteering using my skills as a qualified Dari interpreter to be a volunteer advisor within 2 charities supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers, using my diplomacy, IT and translation skills, as I speak over 6 languages; supporting the DWP, Home Office, Foreign Office and various charities; visiting bridging hotels with, Dari Translation and customer service support, also facilitating and leading as a voluntary ESOL teacher during courses.
I believe the knowledge, experience and skills built up during my career make me the perfect candidate for the role
Experience
Mar 2023 – Present Harbour Project, Volunteer Advisor for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
July 2021 – Aug 2023 Warm Welcome Project, Swindon: Volunteer for the Home Office
- Providing advice, registering refugees for various services and supporting refuge needs.
- Listening and attending to refugees concerns and signposting them to public and related charities.
- Referring visitors to immigration solicitors who have received their Section 95 asylum support letters, sending documents to the solicitors, and requesting appointments to be made.
- Creating indeed and charity job account for refugees to apply for job opportunities.
- Female lead at the Marriott Hotel for Afghan Refugees, supported those who have been relocated to help them integrate and resettle in the UK, advising on their rights with providing Dari and Pashto translation for caseworkers.
- Facilitated training through conducting workshops on “life in UK” theme with Dari and Pashto translation.
- Arranging appointments for refugees with GP registration and applying for universal.
- Input refugees’ information, recording advice sessions in AIRTABLE.
- Reporting Afghan families concerns, issues and problems to various case workers.

Nov 2022 – Present: Mobility Aids Services, British Red Cross: Volunteer
- Providing administrative and operational support which includes face to face queries, taking calls, processing invoices and operating across MOOM (computer stock Management) and different systems.
- Ensuring that the delivery service, stock control systems and meet the needs of the service whilst maintaining smooth and efficient operation to serve people in crisis.
March 2018 – July 2021: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afghanistan (MOFA)

- Formulated policy papers about regional transit and facilitating international trade as project manager.
- Follow up implementation of regional transit agreements and facilitated the engagement of different regional countries.
- Working closely with United Nation Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and United Nation World Trade Organisation (UNWTO) to provide various training for Afghan officials.
