My name is Felix Béranger, I am here by writing to convey why I should be selected to partake in the fantastic opportunity to teach English abroad. My knowledge within the realms of other cultures, practises and languages far exceeds the norm, I actively seek out information on cultures around the world through the use of digital emersion which has essentially, created the information I have gathered at this current time, being, a lot of expanding knowledge on social anthropological factors and interactions that take place around the world. Moreover, my language skills and my passion for learning new languages has allowed me to delve into the construction and formulation of languages cohesively, for example, there are many corresponding factors shared between all languages and I have in fact, used this knowledge to pick up new languages productively and this is a means I can teach to others regardless of their culture and native language.
Furthermore, my social skills and ability to teach is something I consider to be one of my finest qualities, due to the fact, it comes very naturally to me as an individual, throughout my professional career, I have taught children as young as 6 in a primary school whilst interacting on a professional basis with individuals who are over 65 years ago and every age in between, the qualities I have been prized with from each and every company that has employed me is my ability to communicate and form bonds with other individuals, please see my CV to find the companies that could be used for a reference.
I am a high achiever with an even higher passion to learn, travel and explore, not only would I love to teach English to others in a foreign country, but I would love to be able to learn about the country and the educational system which would ultimately, be so different to mine.
In terms of qualifications, I have completed my level 5 168 hours TELF (teach English as a foreign language) course along with an upper class BA Honours Degree in Philosophy &  Religion.

My name is Felix Adrian Beranger, I am a TEFL certified teacher and a BA Philosophy graduate with a subsequent expansive teaching history despite my young age. My teaching career began at the age of 15 years old, 2015, whereby, I began volunteering in a local primary (elementary) school as a teaching assistant, my centralised task was to provide help to specific children who may have had some academic difficulties which in turn, created some difficulties in their educational endeavours. The aforementioned teaching role was a catalyst that solidified my passion to become a teacher whilst quenching the existential contemplation of which life path I should take. During my time at University, I started at Oxford University before changing to Bangor University after my first year due to a family emergency, however, during my first year in Oxford, I was involved with an organised group that led sports and fitness events for individuals who had physical, mental, or genetic impairments. Fitness is a another passion of mine and over the course of the year (2019), I led, instructed and held classes for the participants of the discussed scheme, here, I taught them how to use a gym in the most optimal manner, an introduction into Muay Thai and Brazilian Ju Jitsu (my sports of course) and more than anything, I taught the participants that no matter what tribulations an individual may endure, no matter what subjective problems and difficulties a specific individual may have, they are able to achieve anything they want in their existence and ultimately, the fact that they needed to have the internal will to face the world with bravery and put their wholehearted attention an area they are passionate about. In 2022, after completing all relevant work for my BA Philosophy degree, I completed my level TEFL 168 hours + 20 hours in class teaching certificate, thus I was ready to venture out on my first independent teaching role. After countless email to Buddhist monasteries, I managed to find my first teaching role as an English teacher in a Buddhist monastery on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. The monastery had plans to open their doors to tourists and deemed it essential that the monks who resided their needed to learn English. Thus, in May 2022, I travelled to Nepal and became an English language teacher at the monastery in Nepal. This specific role what flourished me as a teacher, the monastery has no familiar structure to their classes, an age range of 6 years old to 43 years old and no teaching materials or class expressive ideas. Therefore, my tasks were as follows; gauge the English proficiency of each student and assign them to a class, create classes based upon proficiency, create lesson plans that were culturally relevant and appealing to the monks, create after class, classes for specific students who may be struggling in a specific area and most of all, to actually teach them English. In August 2022, when it was time to me to return to the United Kingdom, I could see how much my students had flourished in their English language endeavours, how much I grew as a teacher and the bonds that were created between and the monks, the specific duration of time is a time that I will always look back on with fond memories, though it may have been challenging as my first independent English teaching role, I believe challenge and having to adapt is the most educational and progressive manner for which I can improve.
