Worked as a systems engineer on various projects for the Royal Household, including:

• Technical lead of the finance systems upgrade, which included, building the infrastructure in the cloud, working with 3rd party on application installation, being responsible for training and pilot testing of the upgrade with a finance team of 50 users, ensuring communication was given to senior stake holders such as, the Master of the Household and the Keeper of the Privy Purse
• Worked on VMWare upgrades and updating
• The sole engineer working on penetration testing remediation 
• Audited entire IT staff and management access and translated current on-prem access to be done via Azure RBAC

All work was focused on the internal infrastructure, which was primarily a Hyper-V virtualised server environment. Role included:

• Updating the Hyper-V infrastructure as per internal patching schedules
• Building Hyper-V infrastructure with high availability
• Designed and implemented SCVMM 2019 infrastructure

Worked in a very busy financial start up as the sole infrastructure and security engineer, where the responsibilities included: 

• Configuring access to servers and resources using AWS IAM
• Responsible for all new user onboarding and leaver offboarding
• Worked alongside the Chief Compliance Officer to devise and implement phishing tests using the “knowbe4” product
• Conducted investigation into senior member of staff with the support of the Chief Compliance Officer
• Implemented policies within Mimecast to catch “hot words” related to financial illegal activity
• Administrated Office 365 access ensure anything that had sensitive data was managed according to financial regulatory laws

Worked for multiple clients within this managed service provider as a senior engineer, where responsibilities included:

• Deploying changes into Hyper-V, VMWare and Citrix virtualised environments
• Building Hyper-V and VMWare infrastructure
• Designing and implementing group policies for various clients
• Being the technical lead on a Windows 10 migration project

Working as an infrastructure engineer in a very busy environment and working on various projects reporting to the IT manager and Chief Operations Officer. Responsibilities included:

• Implementing a sandbox environment in Azure for a prestigious financial client of 12 servers, SQL instances in each server and configuring the necessary NSG’s for the network connectivity between the servers 
• Firewall administration and network monitoring and troubleshooting 
• Project work, including, building virtual servers using Hyper-V and Azure. Building Hyper-V hosts, Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager design and deployment, Microsoft Data Protection Manager server build with SQL backend setup and connecting the server to disk pool and the design, deployment of laptop image building using Microsoft MDT 2013.  
• Administrating all company backups 

2nd Line IT engineer reporting to Chief Operations Officer, responsibilities included:

• SonicWALL firewall administration

• Dealing with escalations from 1st level team

IT Engineer working on infrastructure issues for over 150 internal staff and multiple external clients, where responsibilities included:

• Perform daily and weekly system security and backup checks and produce reports 
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving all IT issues remotely and in person 
• Document procedures and complex resolutions/process on internal SharePoint 
• Provide technical training to customers and internal staff as necessary

IT Engineer working on infrastructure issues for over 150 internal staff and multiple external clients. Responsibilities included:

• Daily SCOM monitoring of machines and resolving all issues which arise in critical alerts 
• HP Command view monitoring of SAN replication 
• IIS 6 and 7 – Troubleshooting and resolving website and application issues 
• Exchange 2007/2010 – creating mailboxes and verifying exchange services are running
