Extensive experience across education, training, mental health, social care, youth engagement and health promotion. With the ability to work therapeutically with diverse groups of people, organise and facilitate accredited training programs as well as effectively manage staff and volunteers. I am proficient in working remotely and using various software packages along with a solid knowledge of safeguarding procedures and well-being practices. Associate Academic Assessor; Regents College (RCL) London: September 2021- Current employer As part of the School of Allied Health at RCL I am facilitating learning in BSc in Health and Social degree level 4- 6. Module I have taught and assessed this academic year include; ‘Contemporary Mental Health’ ‘Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults’, ‘Ethics in Social Sciences’, ‘Enhancing Communication and Academic Skills’ and ‘Media and Contemporary Society’ The modules are all delivered remotely via Microsaft Teams and Universities Blackboard and Moodle platforms. Class sizes vary, ranging from six to thirty five students in a single cohort.
Teacher Practitioner: Luton Borough Council: November 2019-June 2020 In my role as teacher practitioner, I taught on the Apprenticeship Program in Adult Care (City & Guilds) as well as a supply cover teacher for Functional Skills English in addition to the duties outlined below; • observed students in their workplaces • lesson planning & designing learning resource material • assessing and marking student work using the council's online learning platform • carrying out one to ones and providing tailored feedback to each student
Sexual Health Mentor and Advisor NHS: Luton and Dunstable Hospital: March 2016- October 2016 *Whilst working in this role I carried out the following duties; • provided information, advice and counselling to patients diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection (STI) • tracing and contacting sexual partners of those diagnosed with STIs • kept abreast of the latest health research and policies • coordinated outreach in a local community testing for chlamydia infections and condom distribution sites. • Designed and facilitated professionals training on child sexual exploitation and risk-taking behaviour and other relevant topics around sexual health Involved with health promotion in schools and the wider community
