I am writing as I wish to apply for the teaching position with your organisation. I am a very well qualified and experienced English language teacher with over twenty-four years of classroom practice; always displaying an energetic, creative and enthusiastic attitude towards my learners. From my attached curriculum vitae you will see that I have taught an array of courses to a wide variety of students in Scotland, France, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Kuwait and Qatar. From April 2019 to August 2020,I taught English to young trainee technicians at the National Power Academy in Dammam, using the Aramco Vocational and Academic Skills Training (VAST) programme. The last six months were taught online using Microsoft Teams because of the Corona virus pandemic. 

Since my return to the UK at the end of August 2020, I have been working at primary schools in Swansea, UK, as a teaching assistant in order to pursue my ambition of becoming a qualified teaching status primary school teacher. My aim is to use this experience to strengthen my application to get on to a PGCE course. 

I have a Masters Degree in Japanese from the University of Edinburgh plus an RSA Celta teaching qualification from Basil Paterson School, which is also located in Edinburgh. Prior to starting my teaching career I served eight years with exemplary conduct in the Royal Air Force, in the trade of air traffic control. 

I have a real passion for and thoroughly enjoy teaching to all ages and levels. I know my subject very well and through my preparation and organisation, I always make learning an enjoyable experience.
