Services offered
As an Early Years Curriculum Manager, I am passionate about fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. I thrive on seeing others learn, grow, and develop their understanding of children's education, and I take pride in guiding and mentoring my team to reach their full potential.
I believe that the best outcomes for children are achieved when we work together, sharing ideas and embracing each other's strengths. I actively encourage open discussions, innovative thinking, and reflective practices to ensure our approaches are both effective and inspiring.
Understanding the uniqueness of each child is at the heart of my philosophy. I am committed to creating and implementing learning opportunities that support children’s holistic development while ensuring that my team has the tools and confidence to deliver these with excellence.
I am driven by a desire to build a culture of curiosity, reflection, and continuous improvement within my team. By working collaboratively and embracing a shared vision, I strive to ensure we provide the highest quality of early years education, creating a positive impact on children and their families.
Experience
With over 15 years of experience in education, I bring a wealth of expertise in nurturing and guiding children's development. I qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2008 and have since held diverse roles, including Early Years Teaching Assistant, Teacher, Nursery Practitioner, and Forest Schools Level 3 Leader. These roles have enriched my understanding of child development, pedagogy, and holistic learning approaches.
Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse groups, ranging from poverty-stricken to affluent areas, and have gained extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My work spans various settings, including schools, private voluntary and independent (PVI) nurseries, and, most recently, a Montessori Nursery & Preschool. These experiences have provided me with a broad perspective on tailoring educational practices to meet the unique needs of children, families and teams.
As a DfE Expert and Mentor for the Covid Recovery Programme, I provided tailored support to educators and institutions, helping them navigate challenges and implement strategies to support children's learning and well-being after unprecedented times.
In 2024, I successfully completed the National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL), further enhancing my leadership skills and knowledge in driving excellence in Early Years settings. I am also set to begin a Master's in Psychology in May 2025, reflecting my commitment to lifelong learning and deepening my expertise in child development and educational psychology.
My Forest Schools training enables me to foster outdoor learning experiences that build children's confidence, resilience, and connection with nature. I am passionate about creating rich, engaging environments where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
I am dedicated to empowering others through mentoring, collaborative practices, and innovative approaches, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to flourish.
