George McCormack

Hello! My name is George, I am a recent graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, having studied an MA in Music Industry Management, specialising in live event production and musical cultures. I have worked in a variety of roles within th music / events industry, with over 3 years of experience at some of the UK's largest clubs and festivals. At the minute, I am the venue and logistics manager / in-house Artist Liaison at Hope Works, an institution of Sheffield Dance music, however with the venue due to close in February this year I am now looking for a more consistent role within the events industry.

Other positions I have taken on include: Artist Liaison (Printworks London, Boomtown Fair, El Dorado, The Beams, Studio 338, Manchester Pride Festival, and more), Box Office Assistant / Scanning Lane Supervisor (Creamfields, Llangollen, Sefton Park, Lytham Green Festival), as well as my own charity focused independent projects as a Promoter, DJ, and Journalist (@takenonoticetakenonotice on instagram for more information).

What initially drew me into the events and music industry was the feeling of being a part of something greater than myself, I believe it is a truly special job to create a space for 100s if not 1000s of people to enjoy themselves in a world of ever increasing stresses and hardship. Whether its working on the bar or managing world class artist's in-house experiences, the satisfaction I feel after contributing to people's enjoyment through my work is unparalleled, and a feeling I will be relentlessly pursuing throughout my career.
