Georgi Aleksandrov

I am very passionate about game development. I work primarily in the sphere of programming.

In the summer of 2012, I started with web development. Doing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. After two years of doing web development, I discovered Unity. As Unity has the option of programming in JavaScript, I immediately took an interest in developing functionalities for games. Because I knew some JavaScript, I was able to start without much difficulty.

Pretty quickly after I started game development in JavaScript, I realized that most people suggested and used C# for any Unity programming functionality. By starting with some simple games like Snake and Space Invaders, I managed to get the hang of Unity.

At this time I have the experience of working in Unity for 9 years and using C# for a little more than 8 years. This period includes the tree years I studied in Falmouth Univercity (Sep 2020 - Jun 2023). Currently I am learning and working on projects within Unreal 5 and studying C++.

I am a Falmouth Univercity Graduate who is currently entering the proffesional space.

Falmouth University: BA(Hons) Game Development: Programming - September 2020 to Current • Gathered skills and experience working as a Programmer in a Student led Team Projects for 3 years using Agile Workflow and Git Version Control. • Gathered skills and experience working as a Lead Programmer in a Student led Team for my second and third university year projects. Dividing tasks, gathering reported progress, and reporting it back to the whole team on our scheduled team meetings. • Gathered skills and experience working in Unity using C# for the three years of university. • Gathered skills and experience making a custom controller for a custom driving game in Unity using an Arduino and written in C++
