About Georgia Wheatley:
Research-led, proactive and conscientious designer whose primary focuses are user-experience design and research. Currently seeking to build upon previous work experience and progress my career within the design field. Proven ability to work with clients to tight deadlines on formulating and conceptualising design ideas and outcomes.
Experience
- Attended design meetings at clients' homes with the Design Director where I was briefed on the desired outcome and took relevant dimensions to create drawings of the room's layout by both hand and ZWCAD.
- Produced drawings and life-life renders using Cabinet Vision and SketchUp, with detailed annotations for each elevation and a service plan using the client’s desired colours and finishes.
- Presented proposed designs to clients and continued to liaise with clients throughout the design process, incorporating any feedback into revised plans and drawings.
- Further developed my knowledge of appliances on the current market by attending workshops and sales meetings with companies such as Miele and Fisher & Paykel.
- In this role I also worked closely with the sales team in putting together quotes for clients using SMART software. Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving by working alongside other team members to create innovative solutions for existing problems at work sites and any other issues that arose throughout the design process.
- Recorded meeting minutes and distributed with the rest of the team.
