About Georgina-Nicole Elia:
I would describe myself as a sociable, keen and positive person, whom loves nothing more than learning new things.
I have a passion for helping others and aspire to be a registered Dietitian, working in oncology or diabetes, however my mind is open to all opportunities.
I believe that the key to good healthcare is to take a patient-centred approach, aiming to build service users' feelings of self-efficacy and motivation coupled with gentle guidance, specialised knowledge and compassion.
I have a strong work ethic and work well under pressure, utilising my problem solving skills and initiation to find the best and most appropriate solution to any given issue.
Experience
For years I have worked in customer facing roles, including waitressing and retail.
Within these roles I have learned how to handle high pressure situations and environments, skills of liason and problem-solving and have experience working with people from all walks of life, with their own unique views and needs.
Education
I have just completed my first year of a BSc (Hons) in Dietetics at the University of Plymouth and achieved a 1st overall.
This has helped me to refine my interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and has provided me with essential dietetic and sociological knowledge , which I am eager to put into practice.
