- Versatile Senior Professional Project/Programme Manager/Director with 25 years+ experience in the construction industry working in the public and private sectors.
- Managed a complex programme of works as Project Director for the Department for Education up to £75m.
- Programme lead in a major healthcare (NHS Trust) refurbishment project for Guys & St Thomas Hospital Trust to manage the ECP Pathway Programme to transform delivery of services for the A&E Department at St Thomas Hospital with a project value of circa £35m on a NEC 3 contract.
- Experience as lead Programme/Project Manager / Project Director managing education projects including Higher Education, Primary and Secondary / Academy projects from inception to completion with individual projects to a value of circa £35m and capital programmes up to £75m.
- Experience in managing the delivery of large capital projects in the residential sector for social landlords and for a developer including developments with individual projects up to 100+ units and a portfolio with a gross value of circa £35m.
- Ability to produce and develop Project Briefs, with experience in leading feasibility studies, developing outline scheme proposals, outline and full business cases and developing and appraising development options within the built environment.
- Experience managing complex capital projects from inception to completion and handover to the building occupants.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically and to deliver large Capital Programmes,
- Assisting senior leaders to make key decisions based on short, medium and long-term business objectives.
- Highly motivated professional able to work on own initiative as a key player as part of a team.
- Excellent commercial awareness including budget management, change management and monitoring capital expenditure.
- Significant experience of public sector procurement, tendering and tender analysis, contract negotiation and award and on-going management to handover and commissioning with good knowledge and experience of various forms of standard building contracts (JCT, NEC3, Partnering) and significant experience of risk and opportunity management.
- Professionally qualified with related training and professional membership and associated professional qualifications.
