Hey!  my name is Gledisa. I am deeply passionate about the world of publishing, fueled by my lifelong love for reading and storytelling. My career journey has been shaped by roles in PR and marketing, where I have honed my skills in communication and strategic thinking. One of my earliest achievements was having a poem published during my childhood, an experience that ignited my interest in the power of words and their ability to connect with others. I am eager to bring my enthusiasm for literature, coupled with my professional background, to contribute effectively to your publishing team.
 

I love diving into new books and films. To me, an awesome day is when I've learned something new from the art I enjoy.

Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse skill set through various roles. I began in retail and food service, where I honed my customer service skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities. As a sales assistant, I provided excellent customer service, handled transactions efficiently, and maintained organised product displays. In my role as a call handler for the NHS, I managed customer inquiries and developed strong problem-solving skills while keeping detailed records of interactions. My experience as a PR marketing intern involved assisting in the creation and execution of marketing strategies, conducting market research, creating content for press releases and social media, and organising events. Additionally, I have worked on film projects, including music videos and short films, where I served as a camera assistant and contributed to post-production tasks such as colour grading. This experience allowed me to develop skills in visual storytelling, cinematography, and editing, working collaboratively with directors and producers to bring creative visions to life.

I graduated from the University of the Arts London (UAL) with a degree in Film and TV and Media Communications. My studies provided a comprehensive understanding of the film and television industry, including production, post-production, and media theory. I gained practical experience in filmmaking, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to shooting and editing, and developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and media communication strategies. This education has equipped me with the technical skills and creative insights necessary for a successful career in the media and entertainment industries.
