As a bio-medical engineer, representing a manufacturer, I have a proven track record of 20 years, specialising in medical imaging at the customer interface. I provide specialist application, installation and technical expertise both remotely and onsite, throughout the UK and Europe. I manage and provide support in the use of medical imaging modalities, to technical personnel, our distribution partners and to clinical staff. 

 

I live in Southwest London within 40 minutes from LHR, for the purposes of international travel.

I have all the facilities for remote working, including phone, high speed internet and printing.

Position               Senior Technical and Application Specialist (6 month Contract)

Appointed as a consultant to provide senior technical support and application training services in Imaging and Guided surgery in dentistry. X-Nav Technologies specialize in the manufacturing of the X-Guide. Key responsibilities include:

  • To Install, calibrate and maintain units throughout the UK
  • To identify sites requiring further clinical training and give support in the use of their equipment
  • To provide on-line technical support services in the UK and EMEA.
  • To provide training to X-Nav Tech distribution partners

 

2013 – 2025         CurveBeam AI UK Ltd,

Position:              Technical Support and Customer Care Manager 

                            Appointed by CurveBeam AI as European technical support and customer care manager to establish and oversee the European Office for CurveBeam AI, based in London, UK. Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of advanced technical expertise including installation, troubleshooting and training, both onsite and online to our UK NHS and private hospitals and European clients and partners.
  • Network integration to hospital network and PACS.
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance and calibration of CBCT units.
  • Presentation of basic and advanced application and technical courses in UK and Europe.
  • As a Radiation Protection Supervisor, to advise on radiation protection requirements with physicists for the use of ConeBeam CT
  • Undertaking of site surveys using architect drawings at NHS and Private hospital sites throughout UK and Europe.
  • Management of tenders for European and UK hospitals.
  • Provision of application advice and support to our clinical opinion leaders in the UK and Europe.
  • Liaising with R&D during deployment of European specific requirements and solutions for our products.

2005 – 2013         KaVo Dental Imaging (formerly Imaging Sciences International, KaVo, Gendex, Dexis, Palodex)

 

Position:              Product and Application Specialist CBCT: 

                            Employed by ISI in the US as sole European representative, during the establishment of a leading CBCT flat panel imaging modality, the i-CAT. After an acquisition by Danaher, I formed part of the European business unit for KaVo Dental (also Gendex and Palodex group) and was the Imaging application and technical training lead. I was also responsible for the provision of advanced technical and application support in imaging to both our clients and distribution network.

  • Application training at the client interface and providing advice on the application of cone beam CT to clinical and diagnostic requirements.
  • Advanced technical support and services to dealers and clients for escalated problems.
  • Liaising with R&D during deployment of European specific requirements and workflow solutions for our products.
  • A significant proportion of my work involved travel throughout the Middle East and Asia.

 

1993 – 2003         Ericsson Ltd. (Aepona Ltd. 2003 on)

 

 Position:             Technical Development Manager

                            Responsible for Software Design Maintenance and Product Support for Ericsson Wireless Networks.

  • Global support to first line field centres on technical issues and faults.
  • Coordination during implementation of more specific customer requirements.
  • Responsible to director for globally agreed goals and targets.

 

Position:              Test Specialist / Test Leader: 

                             Lifecycle conformance testing and troubleshooting to required protocols in both hardware and software test environments as part of Ericsson wireless Intelligent Network (IN) solution for GSM.

  • Design of advanced test specifications and instructions for system and integration testing.
  • Coordinating test activities with design and test departments.
  • Field support for integration testing at other locations in Ericsson Global Organization.
