I joined a traineeship in customer service because I wasn’t sure about the subjects I took for my A-levels and I didn’t know what I wanted to study at university. I decided to leave my studies and join a traineeship.  The traineeship helped me with my confidence, helped me to interact with new people, work well in team, gain knowledge about customer service and how to deliver great customer service experience. Furthermore I was able to complete two weeks work experience at Barclays Bank (Which the traineeship provided). I was able to gain an insight of how a bank functions, I was able to job shadow a couple of the the colleagues that worked there. I learnt how they put the customer at the heart of everything they do. They use their company beliefs and values to deliver the best customer service experience. The three key skills which is essential to delivering great customer service is: communication skills - helps you to communicate clearly and effectively with the customer, listening skills- listening skills helps you to understand and listen to your customers needs, rapport building skills-helps you to get to know your customer a lot better and make them feel like a valued customer. After my Barclays bank Work experience I completed another work placement with First Steps nursery. I trained there as an admin assistant. I gained overall customer service skills, telephone skills and some admin duties experience. After this placement ended I joined sainsburys as a customer service assistant. This is my current job and I have been working there for almost six years. I have been trained in all departments and I am the only multi skilled colleague in the store. I have an option to progress however I decided not as I would like a career change. Preferably in admin 

I have completed my GCSEs but not Alevels. I am currently working in retail
