• Studied buy-side and sell-side institutions over a two-month period, applying knowledge within assessed exams & simulations across a three-week course. Diploma accredited by the London Institute of Banking & Finance. 
• Trading: traded energy price risk through Hurricane harvey. Executed a calendar-crack box spread to profit from the refinery shut down across the gulf of mexico as gasoline production halted. Bought gasoline vs oil near term delivery and hedged out oil price risk with the opposite position for 3 month delivery.
• Asset Management: managed a $20m portfolio, opening positions across multiple assets through vocal and quote board-based deals. Adjusted portfolio in response to new headlines and data. Relative to 110 participants, achieved scores of 100% price execution, 85% risk-management, 82% ROI and 76% risk appetite.
• Hedge Fund: managed a $20m portfolio in respect to client’s criteria. Hedged numerous positions in ESG equities, bonds, forex, commodities and crypto. Retained a net exposure below $100,000 and invested more than 95% of funds. Produced a 24.6% return, placing 11th out of 110 participants.
• Market-making: executed buy-side client trades via high-touch and soft-touch deals, unwound positions using the exchange, and utilised ETFs to hedge real and expected positions. Created skewed bid-offer quotes via python coding.
• IPO: led a 9-person deal team as CEO. Delivered an investor pitch using company valuations, risks, forecasts, and sector/competitor analysis. Fully-subscribed the stock at 1.8x the actual launch price. Placed 1st out of 10 teams.

• In a 10k-word dissertation, analysed archived documents to demonstrate how the London Stock Exchange’s committees deployed automated settlement and price-display technologies to regain global prestige from 1955-90. Grade: 69.00.  
• Studied the relationship between international economies and the global climate within a ‘Climate & Capitalism’ module. Presented understandings within vocal presentation and written exam. Grade: 71.00
• Expanded academic capabilities through business, public speaking and datafication modules while studying in Denmark.
• Awarded the Vice Chancellor’s ‘York Award’. This recognised engagement in personal/professional development. Such activities included: founding a society as Executive Treasurer, participating in the college committee as Merchandise Officer, student mentorship, representing the university within the BUCS rugby association, and studying abroad.
