About Hammad Qadi:
I am due to receive a certificate of completion of training in clinical radiology on 30th April 2025. I have a
special interest in musculoskeletal radiology and experience in some interventional procedures. I have extensive experience in teaching, leadership and
innovation; consistently demonstrating excellence both in clinical practice and academic contributions. Through my additional
professional roles, I have spearheaded numerous educational initiatives, mentored junior colleagues and fostered a
collaborative learning environment.
Experience
My professional medical journey began as a Foundation Year 1 doctor at Medway Maritime Hospital from August 2017 to August 2018, where I rotated through Elderly Medicine, Urology, and Intensive Care. This was followed by a Foundation Year 2 post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London, from August 2018 to August 2019, where I gained experience in Acute Medicine, General Practice, and Emergency Medicine.
In August 2019, I commenced my Radiology Specialty Training, working across Queens Medical Centre, City Hospital, King’s Mill Hospital, Royal Derby Hospital, and Chesterfield Royal Hospital. I started my subspecialist training in interventional radiology and continued with this for 1 year. I then continued in musculoskeletal radiology and I am set to complete it in by the end of April 2025.
Education
My undergraduate educational journey began with a BSc in Biomedical Science from Queen Mary, University of London, which I completed in July 2009. I then pursued an MSc in Translational Neuroscience at Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry, graduating in November 2011. Subsequently, I obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) degree from the University of Southampton in June 2017, along with a BMedSci in September 2016.
I recently achieved the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in March 2023 and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Dundee in January 2024. These qualifications have provided a solid foundation in both clinical and academic aspects of radiology, complemented by a strong focus on medical education.
