About Haroon Khan:

In education, I have spent 5 years studying the technical aspects and the theories that are undergone in an engineering environment (2 years of Aeronautical Engineering Level 3, and 3 years of BSc Aircraft Maintenance Engineering). It has allowed me to gain hands-on experiences, as well as understand the aspects of human factors, management and legislation knowledge based around an engineering environment/company.

As I have been in search of vacancies based around my university degree and engineering, I believe that my skills, knowledge and research based on my study towards workshop based tasks is an advantage for my application.

As I am currently in the process of working for my EASA B1, I have been lucky to carry out practical tasks on a Jetstream 31 static aircraft, as well as aircraft workshops, where assessments were carried out for practical works on aircrafts such as patch repairs, CFRP repairs, NDTs,  material research (which were all carried out with CAA approved tools), tool management, electrical repairs, as well as repairs based on the aircraft maintenance manual.
With the in-depth knowledge of aircraft materials and 3 years of practical experience in a Part 147 organisation, I am confident of my skills to carry out tasks of roles based around aircraft maintenance.

Besides the knowledge of up to 5 years, I have also proved myself to have good communication skills and teamwork in order to carry out tasks and objectives. As I am polyglot, I have also used my skills in the 5 languages I speak to communicate with workers of different languages to make a better understanding for reaching the task criteria  (languages mentioned in the CV).

My merits of achievements and proof of education has been provided in the other documents I have attached (CV and University Transcript). Extra information, practical work proofs and documents can be provided upon request.

Experience

Fleet Support Unit (Work Experience)
British Airways - Heathrow
December 2016 to January 2017

During my time in education in Kingston College, I had been selected to carry out my work experience
in British Airways as a member for the fleet support unit.
For the two weeks, I had to focus on BA's 767 and the Airbus A391/320/321 aircrafts and to carry out
structural repairs for aircrafts that had been involved in incidents during airport operations. I had to
shadow licensed engineers in the hangers and observe and carry out routines of the daily operations
that had undergone.
I also had to undertake data sheet tasks to understand the costs for part repairs, and the calculations of
expenditure than are implemented for repairs on these aircrafts.
I have a certificate proving my time in this work experience which can be presented upon request.
