My name is Henry Davies i am 19 years old.

I have just completed an 8 month full time vehicle servicing and repairs course at the Camelia Botnar foundation. I now have a strong base knowledge and ability to carry out all tasks related to vehicle servicing and repairs. 

some of the jobs i can complete successfully include:

checking the operation of a vehicles clutch and the removal and replacement of clutch and gearbox components.

diagnosis, removal and repair of air conditioning systems.  

using diagnostic tools to successfully diagnose vehicle issues stored within the ecu memory and supporting power control modules.   

Diagnosis and replacement  of all key braking components including pads, discs , calipers, drums , shoes and associated ABS components. 

using correct tools and techniques to test suspension components for defects.

Competent using a MIG welder for basic repairs to exhausts etc.

I have good knowledge of vehicle tires and brands with the ability to change tires and balance wheels to a high standard.

I have good understanding of vehicle charging systems and i am able to test and replace alternators.

I have a real passion for mechanics and i am now looking to join an apprenticeship where i can grow my knowledge and gain as many qualifications as possible. 

I have a strong understanding and ability with regards to all aspects of vehicle servicing and repair coupled with a strong desire to further my knowledge and have a good career in the motor vehicle repair sector.

I attended St Philip Howard secondary school where i completed my GCSE's including:

Math's, English, art, physical education, combines science and religious studies.

I have been attending the Camellia Botnar foundation for 8 months where i completed their course as a motor vehicle service and repair trainee gaining various qualifications along the way such as:

Health and safety, manual handling.    

Abrasive wheels, cutting and griding.

First aid level 1 

As well as the Camellia Botnar foundation level 1, 2 and 3 in motor vehicle servicing and repairs.

At the same time as this i have maintained a part time job at my local pub for the last 6 months of the course.
