Holly Fleck

I am an ambitious journalist who is passionate about sharing people's stories in print or by audio and visual means.

At present I am open to work opportunities where I can apply and develop my journalistic skills.

Through various work experiences to date, I have exercised my communication skills when interviewing sources to write informative, up-to-date stories. I strive to produce multimedia content that is accurate and balanced, and will engage the target audience. By working collaboratively with the editorial team in previous positions, I have produced timely journalism that has increased audience engagement through listeners and readers. Through researching upcoming events and topics of current interest I have planned story angles for different outlets.

I have gained writing experience as a Health and Lifestyle reporter and, a Culture reporter for The Scoop; as well as a Writer for Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary. With a love for broadcast journalism, I sought experience by hosting Ulster University's Students' Union podcast and several Ulster University events. I have also produced content for Underscore Media.
 

I have currently completed and awaiting results for my Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Journalism at Ulster University. I will graduate in Summer of 2022.

I received the Dean's List award for the Academic Year 2020/2021.
