Irfan Ahmad BDS FCGDent qualified at the University of Liverpool in 1984 with Distinction in Surgery in Finals – Part 1. He has over 30 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings such as private practice, university teaching and worldwide lecturing on diverse topics emphasising implant, aesthetic, prosthodontic and restorative dentistry. 

Besides his clinical experience, Irfan’s academic achievements include over 200 publications pertaining to a variety of dental disciplines, author of 8 dental textbooks, contributions to several other books by eminent clinicians, and has an h-index of 25. 

He is a member of the prestigious European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), founding member of the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry (IAAD), Honorary Professor of the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy, reviewer for the British Dental Journal (BDJ), and serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry (jCD).

As well as lecturing in the UK, Irfan is a popular invited speaker, and has lectured in 4 continents, in nearly 30 countries as diverse as Europe, Middle East, USA, South America, Russia, Scandinavia and China.

His recent posts include Consultant Prosthodontist at the

College of Dentistry, Imam Abulrahman Bin Faisal University - IAUDent (formerly University Of Dammam), and is currently working as a Senior Professional Practice Fellow at the University of Otago, Faculty of Dentistry, New Zealand.
