About Isabelle Honour:

I am an empathetic and dedicated individual with four years clinical experience working in primary care mental health settings and have recently completed my Post Graduate Diploma in CBT.

Experience

I have spent four years in various primary care NHS mental health services delivering low-intensity and high-intensity CBT to support individuals struggling with a variety of mental health difficulties in a patient-centred but evidence-based manner. Please see below a summary of my work history and the associated roles and skills required for each role.

Trainee Cognitive Behaviour Therapist | Community Living Well Talking Therapies, Kensington and Chelsea, Central and North-West London NHS Foundation Trust | October 2024 - October 2025

  • Assessed mental health presenting problems, including risk assessment and management, from various information sources (self-report, minimum data set measures and referral information). 
  • Collaboratively formulated using established cognitive models, ensuring patient-centred treatment plans.
  • Provided time-limited treatment interventions for common mental health presentations including anxiety disorders, depression and trauma, in line with evidence-base and NICE guidelines. 
  • Completed High Intensity CBT training course, completed all assessments, awaiting BABCP portfolio submission and accreditation. 
  • Used supervision to evaluate treatment progress in the context of theoretical protocols.

 

Locum Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner | Vita Health Group, Derbyshire | April 2024 - September 2024

  • Assessed mental health presentations with varying complexity, made appropriate treatment decisions by considering primary care, secondary care, or third sector services.
  • Provided evidence-based, short-term low-intensity CBT interventions for GAD, panic disorder, depression and phobias, adapting care for individual differences and diversity.
  • Managed clinical caseload of assessment and treatment contacts, attaining service targets.
  • Communicated with professionals involved in service user care, ensuring effective service integration. 

 

Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner | Oxford TalkingTherapies, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust | March 2022 - April 2023

  • Supervised and managed six individuals, monitored clinical caseloads, treatment decisions and target attainment, evaluated ongoing treatment plans. 
  • Conducted audits of clinical notes, ensured accurate note keeping in line with NHS confidentiality and information governance policies. 
  • Communicated clearly and concisely, confident in having difficult conversations with colleagues.
  • Active member of the ‘Learning Difficulties and Neurodiversity Workstream’, participated in monthly team meetings to further understanding of appropriate adaptations for care and reduce service access barriers.

 

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner | Oxford TalkingTherapies, Oxford Health Foundation Trust | November 2020 - March 2022

  • Assessed and treated mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders, adapted care for co-morbid long-term health conditions, developed robust risk assessment and management skills.
  • Delivered online low-intensity CBT courses to approximately 50 patients, confident presenting to large groups and leading facilitating team.  
  • Managed a high volume caseload of complex service users while working remotely with limited colleague contact, met service targets and implemented strategies to manage wellbeing. 
  • Confident using a variety of online software systems, able to learn new systems quickly. 

 

Student Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner | Talking Therapies, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust | April 2020 - September 2020

  • Placement as part of final University clinical year, assessed and treated common mental health difficulties.
  • Time and diary management, prioritised urgent clinical tasks alongside final year academic deadlines. 
  • Quickly learned new procedures, policies and treatment decision pathways and applied concepts swiftly. 
  • Gained an understanding of importance of patient-focused care and service commitments to recovery.
