Jacee Gouldbourne

Working in a hair and beauty salon from the age of 14, I have always known that my calling career-wise was in the beauty industry.  Recently qualified and gaining spa experience for the past five months, I have discovered that my calling is in skin.  I love tailoring treatments to my client’s needs, and want to be in an environment where I can up skill, furthering my skincare knowledge.  I am level two and three ITEC qualified in beauty therapy and I passed with merits and distinctions. Where I have been working, I have also trained in pregnancy massage, Lashperfect lash lifting and brow lamination, Caudalie skincare, and the comfort zone remedy facial.  I am qualified in waxing, eye treatments, facials, microdermabrasion, pre-blended aromatherapy massage, full body Swedish massage, Indian head massage, manicures and pedicures, via my ITEC level 2 and 3 combined course.  I also achieved a qualification in gel and lacquer manicures and pedicures in August 2022 with Blow Ltd, who used OPI to train me.  I have also used DND and CND but have not been formally trained in either. I have not only been trained in Lashperfect lifting, but I took a course to teach me the general lash lift in 2021.  Where I am currently, I have also been trained in spray tanning.  I have a genuine passion for all things beauty; not only does it take up my work schedule, I am constantly researching and advancing my knowledge through books and beauty forums.  I would love to continue my journey in the industry in a positive environment with like-minded individuals.  I also would love to work with experienced individuals who I can learn from; I always take constructive criticism on the chin, as I know it will mould me into a seasoned, professional therapist.

Spa Experience, Kensington (March-present):: Here, I have been working as a beauty therapist and have quickly filled my books.  Here, I perform and array of spa treatments such as massage, facials and scrubs, as well as salon services such as waxing, manicures and pedicures in gel and lacquer, lash lifting and brow lamination, tinting, and spray tanning. I have also been given great responsibilities, such as closing the treatment rooms, salon and spa on many occasions and being left to do cash-up.

Nails and Brows (November-December): Here, I performed paid work experience as a salon assistant in a five star Mayfair boutique.  Here, I learned that beauty and hair etiquette are completely different, and how to adapt to that contrast accordingly.  I also saw what makes a service five star and the correct way to deal with clientele of that calibre.

Anitalawrence Hair and Beauty (April 2017- November 2022):

I have been a salon assistant here on and off for five years, working as a Saturday

girl at first, then gaining more experience and becoming a big support for 

the other assistants in the salon.  Here, I have developed excellent

communication skills with colleagues and clients, a willingness to go the 

extra mile for my colleagues and clients, and a desire to constantly push

myself in my career.  I have also managed to develop my perseverance skills,

my ability to adapt to different clientele and a good sense of resilience.

I believe in keeping a positive aura in the salon as the aim of good customer
