I am an energetic person with a good sense of humour and outgoing personality.  I enjoy working with others and show enthusiasm and commitment in everything I become involved with. I am sociable, a good listener and capable of communicating with a variety of people regardless of age, gender, cultural or social background in different situations and environments. I thrive on challenge and am known for my adaptability and creativity.  I enjoy taking part in, delivering educational experiences and inspiring through Mountaineering, Canoeing/kayaking, Bushcraft, Expeditions, music and just general adventure.

Instructor: Leading all aspects of outdoor activities (on & off-site), including caving, river walks, hill days, indoor climbing/abseiling, zip wire/high ropes, archery, team development. Leading school groups, family holidays & kids clubs, training of staff, assessing GCSE climbing, acting as weekend manager.

• (2022 ) FOREST MOOR SCHOOL, HARROGATE - CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL HEALTH (SEMH) NEEDS.                   Advanced Teaching Assistant (ATA) for Outdoor Education: Assisting onsite and offsite Outdoor Education lessons and activities, equipment and resource management; Behaviour support, Planning and delivery of Forest School Education for Key stage 2. 

Temporary Outdoor Education Lead: Planning and delivery of Forest School, Outdoor PE and Creative writing for Key stage 2. Responsible for all onsite and offsite Outdoor Education for Key stage 3 & 4 including planning and delivery of Bushcraft & Campfire cooking; Kayaking & Canoeing; Rock scrambling and exploration at sites of natural beauty; ecological & geological field trips and team building exercises. Freelance Outdoor Activity Instructor:  Delivering paddle sports (kayaking, canoeing & raft building); Gorge scrambling; Mountaineering & Climbing; Planning, Delivery and Evaluation of Tailored Bushcraft & Team Development sessions to meet specific educational needs.

Outdoor Educator: delivery of Bushcraft and adventure days for children aged 5 – 17 (and occasional adults)   

• (2017 – 2019) ‘CAT’S PYJAMAS’ INDIAN STREET FOOD RESTAURAUNT AND CRAFT BEER, EASTGATE, LEEDS

• (3 months in 2017) FALLING CREEK ADVENTURE CAMP, NORTH CAROLINA, USA 

Paddling Adventure Instructor & Camp counsellor: for children aged 7 – 17. *Responsible for the daily care of groups of up to 10 children; planning and delivery of excursions; paddling on moving water; and multiday expeditions on large lakes including supervision of camp craft, navigation, meal planning and cooking. * This was a profound and valuable experience
