Jack Fletcher

Hi, I’m Jack, a Product Designer with a passion for user-centred design and presenting outputs clearly and concisely. Communication and empathy are attributes I consistently find myself harnessing in any project I am involved in.

My enthusiasm shines through in team-based collaboration workshops with a strong desire to work on specific pieces through many mediums, whether physical prototyping, design thinking or UI/UX. The use of visual stimulation and storytelling to present my work aids in the creation of a clear and straightforward approach for my outputs.

Through design-led thinking, I aim to correct and adapt current issues we see in our everyday lives.

Managed face-to-face registration for hundreds of international student matriculations. A controlled and skilled approach to managing a large influx of students.

Demonstrated critical thinking while card issuing under a strict time frame for registering cut-off. Ensuring efficient and timely processes.

Professional and consistent customer service was upheld at all times, utilising empathy.

Service Designer

Realistic Medicine (NHS Tayside)

May 2022 - April 2023 (11 Months)

Designed a public awareness campaign to promote ‘shared decision-making’ (print and digital media). 

Employed user-centred design to create content that empowered the public to feel able to ask questions and discuss what is important to them regarding their personalised healthcare. 

Independently trialled and ran the campaign in NHS Tayside from May 2022 to March 2023.

Facilitated workshops with the patients and clinicians and presented final results to senior Scottish Government leads, demonstrating effective stakeholder engagement.

Social Media Events Coordinator

SEWF (Social Enterprise World Forum)

October 2020 - September 2022 (2 Years)

Contributed as a key member of the core team, actively managing their social media and website. Edited/uploaded recorded talks using Adobe Premiere Pro within strict time frames. 

Hired for adaptability and effective communication skills. Assisted in four successful social enterprise events, where over 2,700 participants joined globally. 

Demonstrated initiative and a knack for problem-solving during events and addressing hiccups where needed.

In September 2022, I graduated from the University of Dundee, where I achieved a distinction in MSc Product Design and earned outstanding academic achievement for that year.
