Jake Lazenby

A recent graduate on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, aiming to pivot into Corporate Finance/ Investment Banking space. High level data analysis skills (including Excel and R) and a world-leading university degree (2:1 in Politics from Durham).

During my time at Durham, I did a corporate law vacation scheme with Crowell and Moring LLP. Whilst there, I shadowed associates working on live transactions in the markets, advising on the legal elements of the deal. This was the beginning of my interest in corporate finance (I understood that law would be a “side-line” to these types of transactions, and wanted to be in the middle of them!). Since graduating, I've joined a reputable graduate scheme with the NHS, aimed at coaching future finance directors through accountancy and management qualifications.

My politics degree - I learnt to code and analyse large datasets, as well as provide critical analysis on highly complex policies and phenomena. I also am a part qualified accountant, where I've learn the scope of GAAP as well as the relevance of the financial statements to investors.
