James Unegbu

Experienced support worker with six years’ experience across the UK and Nigeria, specialising in autism, dementia, and person-centred mental health support.

James is a compassionate and experienced support worker with over six years of hands-on care experience across diverse settings in the UK and Nigeria. Since April 2022, he has worked with United Response, providing person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs—fostering independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Prior to this, he served with Datton Nursing Agency (Jan–Apr 2022), delivering high-quality care in residential and clinical environments, including dementia and palliative care.

From 2017 to December 2021, James was a dedicated care professional at Lifeline Nursing Home in Nigeria, where he supported elderly clients and individuals with chronic health conditions, gaining deep experience in medication management, safeguarding, and emotional support.

James brings strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a calm, professional approach to challenging situations. His background in international development and mental health advocacy further enriches his ability to support vulnerable individuals holistically. He is committed to promoting dignity, inclusion, and recovery in every care setting.

James holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and has just completed an MA in International Development Management, equipping him with strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. His academic background enhances his ability to deliver structured, person-centred support, navigate complex care systems, and advocate effectively for vulnerable individuals.
