About jananie Kohilathas:
I am deeply passionate about supporting children's emotional well-being and self-esteem through creative, nurturing approaches. With a focus on helping young people build confidence, I use a combination of storybooks, meditation, art, and therapeutic activities to encourage self-expression and inner strength. I believe in the power of small group and one-on-one sessions to create meaningful, lasting change in children’s lives. My goal is to create safe, supportive environments where children feel heard, valued, and empowered to overcome challenges. I am committed to making a positive impact on their emotional development and overall well-being.
Experience
As a tutor, I have successfully worked with students in both one-on-one and small group settings, helping them improve academically while building their confidence and self-esteem. My approach focuses on creating personalized learning strategies that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style. I use engaging methods to make lessons enjoyable and ensure that students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential. Throughout my time as a tutor, I’ve seen students not only improve their academic performance but also develop greater self-belief and enthusiasm for learning.
Education
I successfully completed my GCSEs, achieving strong results across a range of subjects, which laid a solid foundation for my further studies. Following this, I pursued A-levels, focusing on subjects that deepened my understanding of human behavior and social sciences. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Psychology, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of mental processes, child development, and emotional well-being. My studies provided me with valuable insights into the factors that shape self-esteem, confidence, and personal growth, which I apply in my work with children and young people.
