This role was a fantastic opportunity for me to progress and to demonstrate my ability to problem solve and thrive in a particularly challenging environment. The store was opened during the Covid19 pandemic by a team from the UK who unfortunately had to return to the mainland before I joined the company. During my time here; I had no face to face contact with anybody in the company but successfully exceeded targets and demonstrated my ability to effectively manage staff, stock and all admin duties, with limited resources. I felt passionately about my store and my team but had to leave due to relocating back to the mainland.

Working across Ladies Fashion, Lingerie and Homeware departments, managing a team of 17 staff directly plus 6 concession managers. I applied for the position after moving to Jersey and worked alongside a fantastic, long serving Department Manager. This was a great opportunity to gain experience and understanding of a department store setup. I was fortunate enough to spend time in Ireland at the head office, working alongside the company owner and the buying team. Unfortunately I was made redundant due to Covid-19.
