About Jessica Bates:
I am a final year PhD student at Nottingham Trent University researching the effect of ageing on the blood-brain barrier. This incorporates in vivo studies with male and female mice up to the age of 22 months, whereby I have completed I.V., I.P, S.C routes of administration as well as surgical anaesthesia monitoring. I have also worked as a research technician within academia for 2 years working with in vitro and in vivo research streams and a 3 month placement in industry. I am passionate about science and wish to continue in my career in this field.
