Jesus Montellano Herrera

Master graduate of biomedical technology degree with more than three years of experience in prosthetics and medical devices, with broad experience coordinating the manufacture of lower limb prosthetics and managing a group of people. I am an energetic, diligent, and dedicated individual ready to apply my technological and practical knowledge to the industry. Years of previous work experience have given me the ability to work both independently and in teams, with a high level of responsibility and precision.

As a clinical administrator for the prosthetics department, I was responsible for overseeing a wide range of activities to ensure that our patients received the best possible care. My main duties included managing the department's budget, staffing, and resources to ensure that we were able to provide high-quality prosthetic devices and services to our patients. To do this, I worked closely with prosthetists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans that met our patients' needs. This involved reviewing medical records, conducting assessments, and coordinating care across multiple departments to ensure that patients received comprehensive care. In addition to managing patient care, I was also responsible for overseeing the department's administrative functions. This included managing the prosthetics department's budget and ensuring that we had the necessary resources to meet patient needs. I also oversaw staffing for the department, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure that we were adequately always staffed. Another key part of my role was ensuring that the department was compliant with all relevant regulations and standards. I worked closely with regulatory bodies to ensure that we were meeting all requirements, and implemented policies and procedures to ensure that we were providing safe, effective, and ethical care. Finally, I was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and other healthcare providers. This involved negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with other healthcare organizations to ensure that our patients had access to the best possible care. Overall, my role as a clinical administrator for the prosthetics department was multifaceted, and involved a wide range of activities aimed at ensuring that our patients received the best possible care. From managing budgets and staffing to coordinating care and ensuring regulatory compliance, my goal was always to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to our patients.

I looked for a way to immerse myself in my new environment and to work closely with the university, having the opportunity to develop my communication skills and adapting to my new city.

• I assisted with an annual RGU Open day event, in crowd control and campus tour, as well as answering the question of more than 20 prospective students on UniBuddy.
• Supported the marketing department with photography of the pride parade and the Mexican symposium.
