ASSISTANT SHORE EXCURSION MANAGER
Carnival Cruise Line | March 2022 – May 2023
• Working as part of the shore excursions team grossing over $500,000 monthly revenue for the department by selling tours catering to a wide demographic.
• Assisting in the training and development of new team members in coordination with Shore Excursion Manager with a focus on tour information, sales techniques, hospitality initiatives, safety protocols and computer programming systems.
• Informing contracted tour operators of their tour counts, ensuring operators were advised of any peculiarities prior to arrival in port.
• Maintaining effective communication flow between contracted tour operators, shoreside management and onboard hotel operation.
• Conducting frequent visits to tour locations to ensure guest excursions run as advertised and met all safety requirements. Completed post inspection reports and provided feedback to tour operators.
• Fielding and documenting negative customer feedback, investigating accordingly, and delivering effective solutions.
• Accurately reporting and maintaining all voyage end information including revenue, operational conditions, and tour counts.
• Communicating change to the shore excursion program that may have a direct effect on the service provided to the guest.
• Processed invoices to tour operators at the end of each visit. Followed up accordingly to ensure signed invoices were received and processed in a timely mannor.
• Chosen to serve as part of the startup shore excursion team for the launch of Carnival Celebration in 2023.
