About jo Almond:
How embarrassing does one find to write about themselves, where to start, I went to college for Art, have in interest in welfare, education and psychology, very mental health aware, having worked in that field and supported someone close for over eighteen years. Have done sales for many years, inc telesales management, running can insurance brokerage, being the Sales manager for Avon Cornwall.
Therefore I have vast experience, in multiple fields and find it easy to risk assessment and implement to each individual needs with drive, enthusiasm. Being very caring and empathetic, I find that my personality makes people feel at ease and tend to open up to me with being of an approachable, caring nature.
Experience
Having left school with nine GCSEs, what use they are now! left education initially and went into hospitality, and have been ever since on and off.
I then went into insurance sales, at 17 progressing to running a small insurance brokerage and training new staff that came on board, from this i progressed to office and stationary sales, tele and field sales which I loved, I only left this position after meeting the father to my children and deciding to move from Lancashire to Cornwall. Where i worked for a short time at Tesco to move down here after taking some time out with my daughter. After this I went into running a telesales department, only leaving this when falling pregnant due to the companies policies. I still waned to work so I then got the Area Manager position for Cornwall for Avon cosmetics, leaving this when my waters broke!
I stay off work for three years with my new born as my mum wasn't around to help care, this time was very precious to me, and when they themselves grew to attend nursery, I volunteered at a local primary school, this lead to a position of Teaching assistant, staying at this primary school for many years only leaving several years after my daughter to start a job as a PA to a student with ASD and many complex needs, along side of this I had three other jobs, cleaning, holiday park in season cleans and bar work. When this child started at a specialist school I then did my TA level 2 and went to the same school to start teacher training and became a HLTA, and undertaking my foundation degree in education.
