Jo Walsh
Administrative
About Jo Walsh:
I have the ambition and desire for a career as an Administrator as well as looking to broaden my knowledge, experience and qualifications to suit the job requirements.
Have the ability to learn new skills very quickly and can accept criticism, in order to better my work and myself.
I am due to be made redundant due to my employer creating 2 new roles in London, normally I need to provide 4 weeks notice, but this is now negotiable.
I have at least 16 years of employment left in me, I am looking to find the last employment for me to work towards retirement.
Following the very difficult decision to end my plan to Adopt a child from the local authority (after 4 years of trying), I have been trying to find the right job fit for me over the last 18/24 months, without success.
I have approximately 30 years of administration experience within various companies both prior to joining and since leaving the Army. During my 10 years of service I worked in various offices and transport departments providing administrative support and also progressed by gaining a Military Transport Accounts qualification in 1999. Have proficient keyboard skills-RSA 1&2 and ECDL (this includes Word, Excel + Microsoft Office).
Also possess excellent time management skills, which has been tried and tested both in and out of the Army.
Enthusiastic, outgoing and approachable individual who works well in a team, without supervision and under pressure, with a proven ability to work on my own and use my own initiative. I have an ability to manage simultaneous tasks and prioritise my workload. I am a reliable, hardworking and trustworthy individual with good communication skills, both written and verbal, together with excellent interpersonal skills, which includes an excellent telephone manner. A very experienced, self-confident Junior Manager with excellent and proven organisational and leadership skills.
Extremely flexible, articulate and methodical individual coupled with being self-motivated and an ability to motivate others. Have sound problem solving abilities and an excellent attention to detail. Fully aware of the importance of confidentiality within the workplace and when dealing with the public.
A couple of my more recent employments have involved liaising with suppliers/contractors/engineers/security staff/cleaning staff. Use and understanding of CRM & CAFM systems.
I’ve also had to carry out the following tasks: requesting Quotes, creating Purchase Orders, matching Delivery Notes to Purchase Orders, Good Receipting in, then help/liaise with the Finance Manager/Director for matching with the Invoices, create Collection Notes, Commercial Invoices, liaising with suppliers, liaising with transport companies.
My current salary is £29k per annum. I would ideally be asking for a salary as close to that as possible
due to my outgoings and being a single parent, but open to negotiations.

Administration within British Armed Forces, military establishments, facilities management/property services, council/children's centres, schools, cavity wall insulation + heating, Aero parts/Air conditioning, Hospital departments, construction/demolition/groundworks
