Upon being selected from my cohort, I started working with Nexus as an Event Assistant at the University of Leeds throughout the final year of my degree. This internship gave me valuable hands on experience within the corporate event sector, my roles and responsibilities included;
• Assisted in planning and executing corporate events such as conferences, seminars, and product launches.
• Overall event management support, acting as a first point of contact for delegates, event partners and stakeholders.
• Assisted with event marketing and promotional activities to maximise attendance and engagement.
• Prepared event materials such as name tags, agendas, and presentation materials.
• Setting up, turning around and breaking down event and meeting room spaces.
• Supporting with event desk registration, exhibitor liaison and cloakroom
