- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records by updating systems with information about items picked, packed, and shipped. This helps to ensure that inventory levels are accurately reflected in the warehouse management system.
- Safety Compliance: Maintaining safety protocols and regulations while operating warehouse equipment and handling inventory to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Efficiency Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of warehouse operations, and suggesting process improvements, optimising pick routes, or recommending changes to inventory layout.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with other team members, supervisors, or collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues, or provide updates on order status.
- Training and Development: Giving training to new employees or providing guidance to less experienced colleagues to ensure that all team members are proficient in their roles. Provide training on safety procedures, equipment operation, inventory management, and any other relevant areas to ensure the team is competent and confident in their roles.
