Digital mobile (iOS/Android) Release manager Barclays Bank 2020 - 2024

As the Release manager for Barclays mobile banking app, my main responsibility is the release management lifecycle, focusing on scheduling, co-ordinating and the management of releases across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, projects and programs.

Coordinating various aspects of production and projects into one integrated solution. Communicating daily with test managers, dev managers, PM’s and business representatives.

Ensuring that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the process are all considered and accounted for. 

Creating and adopting release guidelines implemented and used across the release team

Oversee the various aspects of a project before it is due to be deployed, ensuring all teams are on track and meeting the agreed guidelines.

Management of multiple releases ensuring a project is rolled out smoothly and efficiently.

Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and business go/no-go reviews

Implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test and production. 

Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle includes management of the release calendar

Managing risks that may affect release scope, schedule and quality

Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements

Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time, within budget and meet or exceed expectations

Ensure releases are delivered within budget and requirements

Manage relationships and coordinate projects between different teams

Program test manager for high profile projects Current account switching instant issuance debit card and Barclays mobile. Collaborating with Project managers, directors, Auditors, System developers, External vendors, End Users, QA Engineers, System Engineers, Testing Engineers.

Creating and enforcing a testing plan, Creating the overall testing strategy, Supervising Testers Overseeing Testing Procedures, Tracking test results and providing updates to senior management, Test-related risk assessment and mitigation, Conducting tests per predetermined quality criteria, Informing key stakeholders on the testing progress, Keeping abreast of developments in testing equipment, methods, and standards, Test planning and strategy development, Resource management, Test execution and reporting, Stakeholder communication and management, Risk management and Procedure improvement
