SQL PROJECT

📊 SQL isn’t just a query language, it’s a business decision engine. 😊
In a recent retail analytics project, I used SQL to turn raw, underutilised transactional data into clear, actionable insights for a multi-store fashion brand.
Using SQL, I was able to:
✔️ Track key KPIs such as net sales, total sales, and customer spend
✔️ Analyse product categories, stores, regions, and sales channels
✔️ Compare VIP vs Regular customer behaviour
✔️ Measure the impact of discounts on revenue
✔️ Translate data into insights that support inventory planning, marketing strategy, and growth decisions
This project reinforced a key lesson:
👉 Data only creates value when it is translated into decisions.
SQL plays a critical role in bridging the gap between raw data and strategic action especially in fast-moving retail environments.

This project analyses monthly sales trends, retailer performance, beverage brand contribution, regional sales, and total quantity sold, all brought together in a clean, interactive dashboard designed for real stakeholder use. Key features include KPI monitoring, time-series analysis, geo-mapping, retailer comparison, and brand-level performance, enabling clear visibility of what’s driving sales results.
This project demonstrates practical experience using Power BI, DAX measures, Power Query (ETL), Excel, data modelling, and stakeholder-focused reporting.
