Josephine Cox

Hello, my name is Josephine, I am 30 years old and I live in Leigh. I currently work at the M&S foodhall in Leigh but I'm learning to drive and have my test very soon and with that said I want to venture out into new roles and experiences. I am wanting to gain some experience working within a pool environment after completing and gaining my certificates for my RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches, RLSS Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award and my RLSS Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work I feel like now is the time to start looking for roles that will be suitable for the qualifications I have recently gained. I have worked in retail and customer service for 8 years and feel now is the time to settle in a role and gain a career I will be happy in long term.

I have worked at M&S for 8 years. Within those 8 years I have gained a lot of self confidence and improved my communication skills. I started M&S in 2017 at the Trafford Centre store after completing a 6 weeks placement with the Prince's Trust I worked on the lingerie department where I became a qualified bra fitter. I then in March 2020 moved onto working at the Leigh foodhall during covid and have worked there ever since. Prior to working at M&S I worked in a doggy day care in Astley for just over 12 months this was only a temporary job until I found my feet again after being unemployed and out of education for some time. One of my first jobs was in 2014 as a weekend salon assistant in a hair and beauty salon in Atherton I worked here whilst I was studying nails and beauty therapy level 2 at college in Bolton. I then left college and carried on working at the salon for about 6 months until I found a job at the merchandise shop at Bolton Wanderers, I was in this job for just over a year also.
