About Joshua Peterson:
Final year BSc (Hons) Psychology mature student transitioning from a career in the defence industry with ten years of experience working across multiple continents in both military and private sectors with a predicted 1st class. Building on my previous military engineering experience working in teams combined with my academic research and analytical skills, I am seeking a consultant role or graduate position.
Experience
My ten years of experience in the defence sector, including roles as a Life Support Instructor at BAE Systems and a Survival Equipment Technician in the Royal Air Force, have provided me with a solid foundation in team supervision, project management, and cross-cultural communication. These roles demanded precision, attention to detail, and adaptability.
Education
As a final-year BSc (Hons) Psychology student at The Open University, my education has equipped me with critical thinking and advanced analytical skills, particularly in data analysis using SPSS and spreadsheets. I have pursued further skills in data analytics through the Google Data Analytics Professional Certification. This course enhanced my practical knowledge of tools such as SQL, R programming, Tableau, and data visualisation. Additionally, I have completed a Level 3 NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering, 3 A levels, and 12 GCSE's grades A-C.
